Investigate the
Invisible Layer
of Bitcoin
Trace and analyze Lightning Network and Liquid sidechain activity with clinical precision. VOLT is closing the regulatory blind spot that on-chain tools leave open.
Lightning and Liquid are opaque and hard to trace.
Lightning Network itself is almost impossible to trace. In modern investigations, there are cases where investigators unknowingly follow the on-chain settlements while tracing suspicious funds, without realizing that the bad actor has shifted their laundering method to the Lightning Network. The same blind spot opens on the Liquid sidechain, where peg-ins, peg-outs and Confidential Transactions hide the amount — and even the asset — from every on-chain tool.
VOLT fills the missing puzzle.
When investigators encounter Lightning Network or Liquid sidechain activity, VOLT acts as a specialized intelligence layer that complements existing blockchain analytics tools. It fills a critical visibility gap by providing deep forensic insight.
Visual graph analysis of channels and Liquid journeys.
Map channel openings and closures with interactive nodes. See the flow of satoshis before they vanish back into the main chain with real-time graph visualization. The same canvas renders Liquid journeys — the peg-in, every hop across the sidechain, and the exchange deposit where the funds resurface.
Identify routing node operators.
Build a complete profile of any Lightning node. Map its channels, funding and closing transactions, attributed on-chain wallets, and rebalancing wallets of the counterparties observed during settlements.

Screen addresses for Lightning and Liquid exposure.
Paste any Bitcoin or Liquid address — or a Liquid deposit transaction — and uncover its hidden footprint. VOLT Detector correlates incoming and outgoing transactions with channel openings and closures across the network, revealing which counterparties routed through Lightning before settling back on-chain. On Liquid it resolves peg-outs back to where the funds first entered the sidechain, and traces forwards and backwards L-BTC to its Bitcoin origin. Available through the dashboard for investigators, or via API for services integrating real-time screening into their compliance pipeline.

Trace funds to their terminal destination.
Start from a seized address or a node of interest and follow the value forward — across Lightning channels, Liquid peg crossings and on-chain hops — until it settles for good. VOLT resolves each terminal cluster and tells you whether the money landed on an exchange, Lightning or Liquid infrastructure, cold storage, or a non-custodial unspent wallet. Built for law enforcement and asset-recovery teams, with an exportable evidence trail.

Continuous monitoring for exchanges.
Stop screening one address at a time. Push your withdrawal TXIDs to the Outflow watchlist and VOLT flags any Lightning channel — or Liquid peg-in — funded by them within ≤3 hops, with IP, geo and sanction flags on each node. Or keep a standing Detector watchlist of addresses and Liquid deposit TXIDs, and get alerted on every new Lightning event or Liquid peg-in origin. Wire both into your compliance pipeline over the API.
Outflow watchlists
Monitor exchange withdrawal TXIDs for Lightning channel opens and Liquid peg-ins (≤3 hops, incl. IP/geo/sanction flags).
